MAYBE YOU CAN FIX IT!

You can solve some heating repair and AC repair problems yourself. Before you call us, take these steps and make sure that your heating repair problem is not a quick fix:

Make sure your thermostat is set to “heat” or "air conditioning"
When seasons change, it’s easy to forget to set this master thermostat switch in the correct position.

Check the position of your furnace switch
This switch typically looks like a normal light switch and should be in the up or on position. After this switch is turned on, your furnace may take a few minutes to activate the fan and begin supplying heat as most systems have some built-in delays.

Check to see if your furnace filter is dirty, and change it if necessary
Dirty filters are one of the most common causes of poor furnace performance. These filters typically need to be changed at least every three months, and checked monthly.

Make sure that the circuit breaker hasn't tripped
Access your circuit breaker panel and locate the breaker that controls your furnace. If it is in the middle position or the Off position, cycle the breaker by turning it off and then back on. Again, remember to wait a few minutes for the system to overcome any internal delays.

If those steps do not solve your problem, give us a call at 410-228-8229 for a quick quote.
